Columbia MO Schools

Education and schools are a big topic in Columbia MO.

Starting at the college level, there is of course:

  • University of Missouri
  • Columbia College
  • Stephens College

There is also 3 public high schools:

  • David H. Hickman High School
  • Rock Bridge High School
  • Frederick Douglass High School

Rock Bridge has received national acclaim:  it received a silver medal by U.S. News & World Report – placing it in the top 3% of all high schools in the US.

And Hickman has been top ranked by Newsweek for the past several years.

Private High Schools include:

  • Christian Fellowship School
  • Columbia Independent School

With the amount of schools in the city, and the proximity of Columbia being in the middle between Kansas City and St. Louis, sports play a big part as you can imagine.  High school, college, and professional sports all are popular passtimes.
